C.R.S. Section 22-30-104
Conduct of elections


(1)

All elections authorized in this article 30 must be conducted pursuant to articles 1 to 13 of title 1. For each election, the governing body authorized to call the election shall name a designated election official who shall be responsible for calling and conducting the authorized election. Limits on contributions to candidates for the board of education of a school district are specified in section 1-45-103.7 (1.7). The disclosure of such contributions is governed in accordance with sections 1-45-108 and 1-45-109.

A governing body may contract with a county clerk and recorder to be the designated election official or for the administration of any of the duties of the designated election official relating to the conduct of a school district election under this article.

Election offenses in any election held pursuant to this article shall be the same as those prescribed in article 13 of title 1, C.R.S.

The procedures for placing an issue or question on the ballot by a petition of school district electors that is pursuant to statute or the state constitution or that a school district board of education may refer to a vote of the electors pursuant to statute or the state constitution shall, to the extent no such procedures are prescribed by statute or the state constitution, follow as nearly as practicable the procedures for municipal initiatives and referred measures under part 1 of article 11 of title 31, C.R.S. The designated election official shall resolve any questions about the applicability of the procedures in part 1 of article 11 of title 31, C.R.S., after consultation with the county clerk of the county in which the school district administrative office is located.
