C.R.S. Section 25-11-102
Agreements for transfer of functions from federal government to state government


(1)

The governor, on behalf of this state, is authorized, from time to time, to enter into agreements with the federal government providing for the assumption by this state through the department, and the discontinuance by the federal government, of any responsibilities within the state of Colorado relating to the protection of persons and property from the hazards of radioactive materials and other sources of radiation.

(2)

The governor, on behalf of this state, is authorized, from time to time, to enter into agreements with the federal government, other states, or interstate agencies whereby the department shall perform, on a cooperative basis with the federal government, other states, or interstate agencies, inspections or other functions relating to control of sources of radiation.

(3)

No such agreement entered into pursuant to the provisions of subsections (1) or (2) of this section shall transfer to, delegate to, or impose upon the department any power, authority, or responsibility that is not fully consistent with the provisions of this article.
